SUBGROUP ACTIVITIES

Major objective: To facilitate communications among investigators with similar interests under the broad scope of the CFG.

Each CFG Participating Investigators (PI) can affiliate with one or more of 10 subgroups established to represent the range of research and relevance to the CFG's overall goal. The purpose of the CFG subgroups is to facilitate communication and drive collaboration among investigators working on common problems.

Subgroup Leaders foster the flow of ideas within their group, encourage participation of investigators into contributing information, data, and materials that enhance the CFG databases, promote investigations that seek to achieve specific aims using CFG resources, and document progress towards the overall goals of the Consortium.

Funding Opportunities
For the purpose of enhancing the CFG's progress towards its overall goal, Administrative Core (A) has compiled a summary of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds currently available from the NIH. These funding options might be of interest to Participating Investigators and subgroups wishing to bring together their teams, possibly in conjunction with CFG core facilities, to meet common research aims or develop new projects that would build on CFG findings and/or mine CFG data. All potential applicants are encouraged to apply directly to the NIH institute or center most relevant to his or her particular research area.
