Major objective: To facilitate communications among investigators with similar interests under the broad scope of the CFG. Each CFG Participating Investigators (PI) can affiliate with one or more of 10 subgroups established to represent the range of research and relevance to the CFG's overall goal. The purpose of the CFG subgroups is to facilitate communication and drive collaboration among investigators working on common problems. Subgroup Leaders foster the flow of ideas within their group, encourage participation of investigators into contributing information, data, and materials that enhance the CFG databases, promote investigations that seek to achieve specific aims using CFG resources, and document progress towards the overall goals of the Consortium.
