Since the majority of funds for the program are used by the Cores, a major responsibility of the Steering Committee is to set the priorities and goals for each Core on an annual basis. In setting priorities, the Steering Committee takes into account multiple factors including:
Each Core sets specific and measurable quarterly milestones to achieve the goals set forth by the Steering Committee. Quarterly reports documenting progress against each milestone are reviewed in a Steering Committee meeting attended by Core Directors. Similarly, milestones are set annually for the bridging projects. Following the mid-year review, milestones may be adjusted as appropriate. |
