MOUSE LINES
SignR1, one of four murine homologues of human DcSign (L-Sign), is localized on mouse chromosome 8 in a cluster with the other three homologues, SignR2, SignR3 and SignR4. There are discrepancies in the published location of SignR1 in relation to the other three family members between sequences deposited in GenBank/EMBL databases and those sequenced by Celera Corporation. However, based on the gene's exon/intron structure, a conditional targeting vector was designed where exons 1 to 4 (inclusive) are floxed.
