REAGENT BANK CARBOHYDRATE COMPOUNDS, GLYCAN-BINDING PROTEINS & ANTIBODIES
The Glycan Array Synthesis Core (D) produces glycan-specific antibodies for the CFG Reagent Bank. The antibodies listed below are available for investigators to identify and/or purify glycoconjugates, inhibit protein-glycan interactions, define the glycosylation status of cells, perform histochemical staining, assay enzymes, sort cells, and more. These studies help achieve the CFG's overall goal to "define paradigms by which protein-carbohydrate interactions mediate cell communication" by meeting the specific aims to:
- Define the specificity and affinity for carbohydrate ligands
- Establish the cell types involved in communication
- Identify the ligand(s) that mediate glycan-binding protein (GBP) binding
- Determine how GBP-ligand interactions mediate cell communication
