MOUSE LINES


Note: Production of novel mouse strains has been discontinued by NIGMS mandate as of November 1, 2009. All existing knockout mouse lines created by the Mouse Transgenics Core (F) will be transferred to the Mutant Mouse Regional Resource Center (MMRRC) at the University of California, Davis. Investigators will be able to request knockout mice directly from MMRRC beginning in January 2010.

Table 1 provides information on Core F knockout mouse lines that will now be available from MMRRC. For histology, hematology, and immunology phenotyping information on each of these mouse lines, visit the Mouse Phenotype Core (G) data page.

Table 2 lists other transgenic mouse reagents available from the MMRRC or TSRI.

Table 3 describes Core F knockout lines available from Jackson Laboratories.

Table 4 lists other knockout mouse lines available to the glycomics community from contributing investigators. If you maintain other mouse strains that might be of interest to the CFG and would be willing to provide them, please contact Anna Crie, who can assist with updating the list with your information.

From 2001-2009, Core F generated 26 total and conditional knockout mouse lines deficient in glycan-binding proteins or glycosyltransferases. Each of these glycogene targets were specifically chosen by the Mouse Committee and approved by the Steering Committee for their impact on the CFG's overall goal.
