BclA bacterial lectin directly labeled with Alexa488 was diluted to 0.01 micrograms/mL in standard binding buffer (TSM, 1 percent BSA and 0.05 percent Tween 20). Seventy microliters was applied to the printed surface of the array, coverslipped, and incubated at room temperature in a humidified chamber away from light for one hour.
