Experiment to be conducted : We would like to extent our ongoing analysis of influenza A HA-receptor interactions (see requests 1611, 1671 and 1797). We would like to assays a few HAs derived from mammals and avian species (8 samples)that have not been tested before. In addition we would like to retest two HAs with the improved protocol.
Within Scope of Consortium : Y
If yes, indicate the person responsible for inputing data into core B : xander de Haan
GBP being Addressed : the recombinant trimeric HAs will be detected as described previously. (using antibodies against the purification tag and FITC labeled secondary antibodies).
Specifc aims being addressed : Define the specificity and affinity for carbohydrate ligands.
